As a boy Tomasz heard a radio program about Socrates. Fascinated by the story he asked his mother whether all the philosopher did was talk to people, walk and think. As she nodded he decided to become a philosopher and so many years later earned his masters degree in philosophy.
Yet his professional life was not to be one of a greek philosopher. Being an advanced amateur he applied for a commercial photographer position at a local studio in Kraków. After shooting at the studio for 4 years he moved to New York to manage a large photo-video and event space, named Peter White Studio, where he saw great photographers and directors at work.
Coming back to Poland in 2006, with a friend, he set up House of Retouching, a photo retouching studio, which collaborates with many world famous photographers, post producing works for magazines like Vogue or Vanity Fair, as well as ad campaigns for renown brands.
Since 2014 he began to take portraits of famous polish actors and directors for Kino Polska. Moving on to create a series of renaissance inspired portraits and finally to painting, which he adores to this day.
In the mean time Tomasz founded Avalanche, an AI startup concentrated on autonomous image post-production.
In 2023 Tomasz departed House of Retouching to pursue a new path in business after devoting 17 years of his life to image perfection and how the visual effects our perception of reality.
